Neko Box is a monthly subscription box full of premium Japanese lifestyle goods to inspire you every day. Every month you'll receive 5-7 different items for mind, body and home.
You'll discover items like: premium ceramics, sake cups, bamboo chopsticks, small dishes, coasters, notebooks, planners, calligraphy pens, gift cards, art prints, decorations and much more...
Every month we curate a limited edition box based around a theme. The cut-off date for first-time orders is the 21st of each month prior to shipping. For example, if you buy a subscription before the 21st of January, you'll receive February's box!
You'll pay only $10 international flat-rate shipping if you're one of the 100 eligible countries! We ship to another 30 countries for only $15.
We ship in the first week of the month, using International SAL. Most countries will receive orders in 1-2 weeks. Orders come with tracking.
We use Japan Post for all our shipping. Japan Post is one of the most reliable and trusted shipping companies in the world. (You couldn't expect any less from super-efficient Japan!)
If you subscribe to a monthly plan, you will be charged as you place your order. From the next month, you'll be automatically re-billed on the 21st each month. You don't have to do anything! If you're low on funds or away from home, you can easily skip a month or two.
If you order a prepaid plan, you will be charged as you place the order, and you won't be charged again until your prepaid period is over. These subscriptions automatically renew, so be sure to cancel your subscription if you don't want it to renew! Every time you renew a prepaid plan you'll receive the discounted price.
Please note that orders cannot be refunded after the 21st of each month due to product ordering and shipping deadlines.
Are you sure you want to cancel? Instead, you can easily skip a month by checking the option in your account!
If you want to cancel, login to your account and click cancel. This will only cancel next month's shipment and not your current shipment. If you have signed up and want to cancel before your first shipment is received, please contact us for a full refund.
Pre-paid plans (3-month, 6-month and 1-year) can be cancelled before they renew for another term. However, they can't be refunded unless you email us asking for a refund before your first shipment.
If your order arrives damaged, please send us a photo and we'll send you a new item or refund the price of the item.
Of course! Neko Box subscriptions make wonderful gifts any time of the year. We'll even include a handwritten note to the receiver. You can purchase a subscription as a gift, or give an e-gift card.
You only pay USD$34.95/month (less if you prepay in advance or use a coupon code). Every Neko Box is worth at least USD$50 and includes items which are limited edition, local and unique to Japan.
All prices are in USD. We use Stripe for our checkout, and will be implementing Paypal as an option soon.
Your customs invoice will show the price that you've paid for your box ($34.99), not the full retail value of the box. This is to save you paying extra taxes!
In most cases you shouldn't need to pay Customs Duties as our box (incl. shipping) is under the threshold for most countries, but please check with your local Customs Office.
You will need to pay VAT if you're receiving your box in the UK, the EU, Brazil and a few other countries. Please check the amount on your country's VAT website.
Initially Neko Box was meant to come with a couple of food and drink items each month. Due to very strict international customs regulations we've had to make the difficult decision to leave out all food, drink, body, and bath products. But luckily that means you get even more amazing homewares, stationery and art!
KAWA is our Japan travel zine (mini magazine), designed exclusively for Neko Box customers. KAWA is designed by Neko Box and features beautiful custom illustrations.
Each KAWA issue focuses on a different neighbourhood or area in Japan. We show you our favourite shops, cafes and sightseeing spots so you can explore Japan like a local.
